Steven Myers Jr. is pursuing a PhD in Statistics. Steven graduated from Indiana University (South Bend) with a BS in Mathematics with highest distinction. During his time at IU, he received the Distinguished Alumni Service Scholarship and was inducted into the Distinguished Alumni cohort. Earlier this year, he was selected to be a Research and Development Scientist Intern at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency for next summer, where he hopes to apply his knowledge of mathematics and statistics to serve local communities and our nation. While at WashU, he aims to engage in various research initiatives alongside graduate work with the goal of cultivating interdisciplinary methodologies. However, beyond academic and professional life lies a creative one. he is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, and has travelled all over North America and Europe playing folk music with a plethora of amazing musicians.
