The Academic Integrity Board (AIB) serves as an engaged advisory body focused on trends in academic integrity. The Board is charged with evaluating the state of academic integrity at the university and recommending changes to the process or new programming to benefit the community as a whole. The AIB includes both students and faculty from each of the schools participating in the centralized process. Members of this body also serve on academic integrity hearing panels.  AIB members are expected to recuse themselves from a hearing panel in which they have a conflict of interest with one of the parties.

Time and Expectations

Training: 2 hours in the Fall

Meetings: two meetings each semester (September, November, February, and April).  Meetings will be approximately 1.5 hours to discuss process implementation, university trends, concerns, innovations, and best practices.

Hearing Panels: Panels will comprise of 2 faculty members and 1 student member.  We strive to have one faculty member from the school that the report originated from to serve on the hearing panel, while also finding a balance of service on hearing panels.

Length of Service:  Faculty are expected to serve on the Board for 2 years; Students are expected to serve for 1 year, with the option to re-apply.
