Helena Heiberger (She/Her) is a PhD student in the Plant and Microbial Biosciences program within the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences. Helena earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Alabama in 2025, where she was awarded the Outstanding Senior Award in STEM and the Keller Key for academic excellence. During her undergraduate research, Helena developed a strong interest in plant-microbe interactions. She is passionate about lab-based research that drives innovation in agriculture and hopes to build on that interest during her PhD. Her long-term goal is to become a professor and mentor future generations of scientists.
