Lindsay Bendell is a PhD student in Social Work at the Brown School. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Lindsay began her social work career in a public defender’s office, where she developed a strong commitment to advocating for individuals charged with crimes. Through her work, she identified critical gaps in social work practice within public defense, which she aims to address through her research at WashU.
