Jackson Cox is a PhD student in Systems Science and Mathematics within the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering at the McKelvey School of Engineering. He earned his B.S. in Systems Science and Engineering from WashU in 2023, where he was also a member of the varsity track and field team. In 2024, he completed his M.S. in Systems Science and Mathematics, conducting his thesis research on the safety of learning-enabled systems. This work sparked a deep interest in control systems and safe autonomy, motivating him to pursue doctoral studies. His current research focuses on the safety and verification of autonomous systems under sensor faults, with the goal of developing resilient control architectures that maintain performance and reliability in uncertain environments.
