The Global Research University Profile (GRUP) is an annual project from ShanghaiRanking Consultancy that aims to develop a comprehensive database of figures from research universities worldwide. GRUP collects data on academic staff, student enrollment, degrees, and institutional income. The collected data is used to produce university rankings, analyze the characteristics of global research universities, and update university profiles on the ShanghaiRanking website.
