Faith Cherop is a first-year PhD student in the Medical Physics program within the
Department of Radiology. Originally from Eldoret Kenya, she earned her BS in Physics
from Michigan State University in December 2025. As a Wielenga Honors Research
Scholar, she worked on validating tools for personalized therapies for patients with
neuroendocrine tumors. She also participated in the Purdy Summer Research
Fellowship at WashU in the summer of 2024. Passionate about global oncology, she is
excited to deepen her expertise in image-guided therapies and explore innovative
solutions that make advanced, precise treatments more accessible, especially in
resource-limited settings. Outside of academics, she enjoys gardening, cooking,
volunteering in community science fairs and travelling.
