Kassandra Hamilton is a PhD student in the Neuroscience program within the Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences. She graduated from Duke University in 2023 where she earned a BS in Neuroscience and a minor in Computer Science. While at Duke, she was co-president of CS Sidekicks, an educational nonprofit aimed at bringing accessible computer science curriculum to historically underserved populations in Durham County, and worked as an undergraduate researcher in the Cogan Lab, a laboratory studying speech and language using intracranial EEG data. As an undergraduate, Kassandra worked as a WUSTL BP-ENDURE scholar in the Personomics Lab, where she studied the neuroimaging correlates of depression in population datasets. Her current research focuses on using human neuroimaging and computational methods to further our understanding of depression.
