Kayla Weber is a PhD student in the department of Nursing Science. Her research focuses on maternal and infant health outcomes and advancing health equity. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University. Kayla has more than a decade of experience spanning clinical practice, nursing education, and regulatory compliance, with a clinical background in neonatal intensive care and adult medical-surgical nursing. She has served as a faculty member at Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing, where she has led courses in Population Health Nursing and Nursing of Children and Families. Kayla is a certified Clinical Nurse Leader and currently serves as Vice President of the Tau Iota Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing at Goldfarb School of Nursing. She aims to combine her experience in clinical and academic settings to advance research and education that improve maternal and infant health across the lifespan.
