I’m writing today first to offer the university’s support to our international students, faculty and staff.

The Office of the Provost is seeking a Faculty Fellow to assist the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Diversity with working on several projects related to the design and development of programs to support faculty mentoring.  

Vijay Ramani, the Roma B. and Raymond H. Wittcoff Distinguished University Professor of Environment and Energy at Washington University in St. Louis, has been named vice provost for graduate education, announced Provost Beverly Wendland. His three-year appointment is effective Jan. 1.

Mary McKay, the Neidorff Family and Centene Corporation Dean of the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, has been appointed vice provost of interdisciplinary initiatives in the Office of the Provost.

Mimi Calter, deputy university librarian at Stanford University, has been appointed vice provost and university librarian at Washington University in St. Louis, according to Provost Beverly Wendland. Calter will join the university in the fall; she succeeds Denise Stephens, who departed this spring to serve as dean of libraries at the University of Oklahoma.
