Sarah Mayo is a PhD student in the English and American Literature program, studying Modernist poetry and prose. She received an BA from the University of California, Irvine in 2020 and an MFA in creative writing from the University of California, Davis in 2023. She was a 2023-4 Fulbright Fellow in Athens, Greece, where she worked as an elementary school teacher and helped developed an eco-poetics curriculum for 5th and 6th graders. Her research focuses on the intersection of faith, doubt, belief, domesticity, and femininity in the work of early- to mid-20th century writers.
