Andrew Tuz is a Master’s candidate in Architecture who is passionate about affordable housing and passive, site-responsive design. He graduated from Clemson University as a member of the National Scholars Program with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Economics, earning both General and Departmental Honors. Andrew’s work with Tigers 4 Accessibility and Pickens County Habitat for Humanity, including coordinating the annual two-week construction of a house on campus, led to a desire to leverage design as a tool for expanding access to safe, affordable housing. He hopes to deepen his research at the intersection of zoning regulation, housing design, and sustainable building systems to advance more resilient and equitable cities. Beyond his academic pursuits, he enjoys painting, photography, and golfing as creative and reflective outlets.
