Ankeeta Saseetharran is a PhD student in the Bursky School of Public Health. She received her MPH in Epidemiology with a certificate in Social Determinants of Health from Emory University, and her BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego. Prior to starting her PhD program at WashU, she worked as a public health educator for a local health department in California. In this role, she implemented nutrition and physical activity programs, helped coordinate the Community Health Worker program, and led a unit-wide quality improvement initiative. In her doctoral research, she aims to explore how to improve physical activity behavior using epidemiological, implementation science, and health equity approaches.
