Lauren Nacke (she/her) is a PhD student in Public Health Sciences. A lifelong St. Louisan, Lauren has worked as a community and hospital social worker, advancing trauma-informed care models and more equitable hospital policies. A fierce supporter of reproductive justice, she has been leading the effort to restore abortion rights in Missouri as Abortion Action Missouri Board President. Her public health research will focus on maternal and infant health disparities, with a strong emphasis on fostering community-led solutions. This approach reflects her commitment to inclusivity and respect for local knowledge, aiming to empower families to have self-determined, resilient, healthy lives.
