Marjori Russo is a PhD student in the Molecular Cell Biology program within the Roy and Diana Vagelos Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences (DBBS). Marjori graduated from Illinois College in 2023 with a degree in Biology and Health Sciences. After graduating, she joined the Cell Biology and Physiology department at WashU as a technician for two years, where she studied the role of extracellular vesicles in metabolic disease. Now a part of the Radiation Oncology department, Marjori is passionate about elucidating the molecular mechanisms that drive radiation treatment resistance in cervical cancer, with the goal of improving patient therapeutic response and treatment outcomes.
