Serene Tarabishi is a J.D. candidate at WashU School of Law. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati (UC) with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Law and Society and a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language and Culture. During her time at UC, Serene participated in a research cohort within the School of Public and International Affairs that studied far-right extremist manifestos. She is currently a co-author of a paper on that topic, which is pending publication. As a senior, she also served as an Appellate Clerical Intern with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. As a law student, Serene is particularly interested in exploring the role of legal systems in transitional justice processes, as well as the development and strengthening of the rule of law.
