Wenxuan Xue is a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at WashU, where she works in the Computational Medical Imaging and Therapy (CMIT) lab. She earned her BS in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she worked in the AI-based X-ray Imaging System lab that sparked her interest in medical imaging. At WashU, her first-year training and research experiences deepened her knowledge in SPECT imaging physics and computational modeling. Motivated to translate rigorous theory into clinical solutions, her current research focuses on personalizing acquisition protocol for myocardial perfusion SPECT, particularly for patients with large body habitus, to improve image quality and diagnostic accuracy.
