Bias Report and Support System (BRSS) | WashU’s BRSS allows students, faculty, staff, and community members to report incidents of bias, prejudice, or discrimination against students. The BRSS team offers support and curates appropriate follow-up resources. While we can refer reports for formal investigation or conduct processes, these services are not directly within our scope. |
The Graduate Center (TGC) | TGC is a central hub dedicated to enhancing the academic development of all graduate and professional students at WashU. In addition to academic and research skill development, TGC’s curated programming, opportunities, and resources encourage graduate and professional students to foster interdisciplinarity and to grow scholarly communities among their peers. |
The Learning Center (TLC) (part of The Center for Teaching and Learning) | TLC is available to undergraduate students as an academic support resource and provides both course-specific peer mentorship and general academic skills coaching. |
Office for International Student Engagement (OISE) | OISE supports all international students and scholars through programming, advocacy and cultural enrichment. The OISE team is available to advise faculty when needed on issues pertaining to their students and their respective studies. |
Taylor Family Center for Student Success | The Taylor Family Center hosts the Taylor Scholars, TRIO Student Support Services, Kessler Scholars and Forward Families. Programming in this center focuses on cultivating a community where first-generation or limited-income students develop the capital necessary to maximize their full potential. |
University Libraries | The WashU Libraries are a powerful network of academic resources featuring 9 libraries available to faculty, staff and students to leverage expertise, infrastructure, and collections to advance transformative research and student success. The Instruction program at WashU Libraries provides services that can be tailored to your disciplines and course needs and collaborate with you on the design of research assignments, instruction sessions focused on research, and source evaluation and synthesis. You are welcome to list the contact information for your subject librarian directly on your syllabus, and/or reach out to your subject librarian to create a research guide curated to the needs of your class. |
The Writing Center & Speaking Studio | Available to all members of the WashU community, this free resource offers one-on-one support for any writing or public speaking project. The Center also hosts stand-alone events, as well as custom-designed, in-class workshops by request. |
WashU Cares | WashU Cares is a dedicated support team, available to help guide students through complex systems and recommend/coordinate both on- and off-campus resources for a student’s support network.
