The vice provost for undergraduate education and educational initiatives works to enhance equity in undergraduates’ academic opportunities, experiences, and outcomes; deepening student research experiences; assess educational programs; and foster innovation in educational programs and practices.

As vice provost and university librarian, Mimi Calter oversees Washington University Libraries and its staff of expert librarians, curators, and archivists. She is charged with strengthening print and digital collections; developing programming in support of research, teaching, and learning; and collaborating with scholars on- and off-campus.

The vice provost for academic excellence (VPAE) leads faculty affairs and development on the Danforth Campus. In this role, Amy Eyler strives for both institutional excellence and faculty well-being. She also coordinates with the other vice provosts and academic leaders on shared initiatives and supports other university-wide efforts.
